These terms apply when you buy a makeover from SellPolish or use sellpolish.com. By placing an order, you agree to them. Please read them. They're short.

1. The service

A SellPolish makeover is a written review and rewrite of one digital product listing on Etsy or Gumroad, delivered as a PDF. It typically includes:

  • a short review of your current listing,
  • a few comparable listings for reference,
  • a new title plus two alternates,
  • a rewritten description ready to paste (and a Gumroad summary where relevant),
  • cover and preview image ideas (concepts and direction, not finished image files),
  • 13 tags,
  • a pricing suggestion, and
  • a few quick wins.

The exact contents may vary a little depending on your listing and platform. You can see an anonymised example on the samples section of the home page.

2. Price and payment

  • A single makeover costs US$19 for one listing.
  • Payment is taken through Gumroad via the order button on this site. Gumroad shows the final amount, including any tax, before you pay. Gumroad's own terms apply to the checkout.
  • I never see your card details.

3. What I need from you

  • The order form details: your listing URL (or, for a listing that isn't live yet, the draft text and images sent by email), the platform (Gumroad or Etsy), your goal or a note, and, if you like, your target buyer.
  • Accurate information. Anything I can't confirm from the page (page count, file format, what's included) will be marked in [BRACKETS] for you to check.

I don't need, and will never ask for, your Etsy or Gumroad password or access to your shop.

4. Delivery

  • Gumroad emails you a receipt when you pay. That's your order confirmation.
  • We email your makeover as a PDF to the address you used at checkout within 24 hours of your order, weekends included, as long as your order includes a working listing link. Please check spam or Promotions if you don't see it.
  • If something is missing, I'll email you, and the 24 hours start when you reply.
  • If I'm going to be late, I'll tell you before the deadline and offer you a full refund if you'd rather not wait.

5. Revisions

  • One free revision round is included, if you ask within 7 days of delivery.
  • A revision means changes to the same listing, such as a different tone, another title angle or different tags. Please send all your changes together. I'll send the updated PDF within 24 hours.
  • A different product, or a complete start-over, counts as a new order.

6. Refunds

  • If you're not happy, email hello@sellpolish.com within 14 days of your order and I'll give you a full refund, no questions asked. This still applies if you've already had a revision.
  • Refunds go back through Gumroad to your original payment method. Your bank or card may take a few business days to show it.
  • Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under consumer law that can't legally be excluded.

7. No guarantee of sales

I'll do my best to make your listing clearer, easier to find and more convincing. But I can't guarantee sales, rankings, traffic or any particular result. Those depend on things outside my control, like your product, competition, platform algorithms and timing. Pricing suggestions are estimates for you to test, not promises.

8. You apply the changes, and you follow platform rules

  • You decide what to use and you make the changes yourself. I don't edit your listing or access your shop.
  • You're responsible for following Etsy's and Gumroad's rules (for example their policies on listings, tags, images, pricing claims and intellectual property), and for making sure everything in your listing is accurate, including details I've marked in [BRACKETS].
  • If you use image ideas, make sure you have the rights to any images, fonts or mockups you use.

9. Who owns what

  • You own the delivered copy. Once you've paid, you're free to use, edit and publish the titles, descriptions, tags and other text in your makeover for your listings, now and in the future, without credit to me.
  • You keep everything that's yours: your product, your brand, and anything you send me.
  • I keep the right to my general know-how, methods and templates, which I may reuse for other clients (but never your specific makeover or your private information).
  • I won't share your makeover or use it publicly, for example as a sample, without your permission.
  • If you get a refund, please stop using the delivered copy.

10. Limitation of liability

  • The makeover is advice and written copy. You use it at your own judgement.
  • To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales, lost profits, or action a platform takes on your account.
  • To the extent the law allows, my total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order (US$19).
  • Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

11. Fair use

Please don't use SellPolish for listings that are illegal, infringe someone else's rights, or break Etsy's or Gumroad's rules. I may decline or cancel any order (with a full refund) if I'm not comfortable working on it.

13. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page on the day you order is the one that applies to that order.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you have a problem, please email me first. Most things can be sorted out quickly.
